ODM-1000 A/P ultrasound biometer for ophthalmology is an ultrasonic measuring instrument based on pulse reflection. It contains two independent units: A Mode Axis Biometer Parameter Measuring Unit and P Mode Corneal Tickness Measuring Units. A mode could be used by measuring the axial length, known as IOL calculation. It calculated on the basis of the interface reflection of these three different tissues(ACD, LENS,VITR) by measuring the transmitting time of the ultrasonic wave through the different tisssues, calculating the distances of the each segment and obtaining an accurate axial length measurement. P mode is on the basis of the measuremnt of time
interval between teh anterior and post interface reflection wave to get the thickness of the cornea.
